Violinists James McFadden-Talbot and Heather Thomas began playing together in 2007 and perform both in the US and in Europe. Recently, they performed at the Opus 74 Festival in Flaine, France, with the National Youth Ballet of Germany in Hamburg, and at the MusicAlta Festival in Rouffach, France. In December, Duo Criquet recorded Suite for Two Violins by Grazyna Bacewicz in Louisville, KY, a recording project produced by Criquet Projets Productions. Each August, since 2018, Duo Criquet has given a recital at the Northeast Harbor Library in Maine exploring a wide range of pieces and styles from Telemann and Tessarini to Ysaÿe and Prokofiev to works by contemporary composers. In 2017, the duo performed at the Criquet Projets Productions’ Festival à Pélican in St. Bauzille de la Sylve, France premiering “Ark” by composer Anderson Alden.
